Live and act
The son of a painter had tried his hand at a commercial profession before turning to film in 1920. His first employer was the production company Emelka in his hometown of Munich. Until the beginning of the sound film , Schier worked for various film companies as managing director.
Heinrich Schier then began working as a production and manufacturing manager, initially primarily for Robert Neppach's production company . From 1936 to 1939 Heinrich Schier worked exclusively for the actor-director-producer Luis Trenker . In April 1945, a few days before the end of the war, he was appointed to the management of the de facto no longer existing Prag-Film .
After the Second World War, Schier, who continued to work in the commercial sector within the film industry as co-founder ('Merkur-Film') and managing director ('Artus-Film'), only occasionally worked as a producer.
