Heinrich Schlueter (politician)

Heinrich Schlueter (born July 26, 1883 in Godelheim , † December 12, 1971 in Höxter ) was a German politician ( center and CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a shoemaker and passed the master craftsman examination in 1908. From 1908 to 1945 he was an independent master shoemaker in Godelheim. From 1945 to 1954 Schlüter was a district master craftsman and member of the board of the Bielefeld Chamber of Crafts . In 1945 he became chairman of the CDU of the Höxter district. From 1919 to 1933 he was a member of the German Center Party.

He was married and had three daughters.

MP

From April 20, 1947 to July 12, 1958, Schlüter was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected with a clear majority in the constituency 134 Höxter .

He was a member of the district council of the Höxter district from 1945 to 1954.

From 1918 to 1933 he was a member of the municipal and administrative council and the district council.

Public offices

From January 1946 to November 1949 he was district administrator for the Höxter district . Schlueter was Mayor of Godelheim from July 1945 to October 1946.

Others

On June 21, 1961 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class. In 2004, in Schlüter's honor, a street in a new development area in Godelheim was named "Landrat-Schlüter-Weg".
