Heinrich Schwieger-Uelzen

Heinrich Schwieger-Uelzen , actually Heinrich Schwieger (born February 12, 1902 in Uelzen , † 1976 in Flakenholz ( Aerzen ) near Hameln ), was a German graphic artist and painter.

Heinrich Schwieger initially worked as a savings bank employee. After attending the art school in Hamburg and the Werkkunstschule in Hanover , he was employed as a graphic artist at the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover from 1927 . For the prehistorian Ernst Sprockhoff (1892–1967) he made drawings of Germany's megalithic graves over many decades .

As an artist, he was one of the co-founders of the Federal Association of Visual Artists in Hanover.

He was married to Eva Schwieger-von Alten, who also worked as an artist.

The Heinrich-Schwieger-Weg in Uelzen is named after him.
