Heinrich Stürtz

Johann Heinrich Hubert Stürtz (* around 1812 in Aachen ; † February 1, 1863 in Cologne ) was a Prussian public prosecutor and from 1848 to 1850 police director and also district administrator of the urban district of Aachen .

Life

Heinrich Stürtz was the son of the innkeeper Johann Franz Heinrich Stürtz and Christina Eleonora, geb. Beys. After studying law , including at the University of Bonn , where he became a member of the Corps Rhenania in 1830 , he entered the Prussian judicial service. When the Aachen police director Josef Guisez died (December 5, 1848) in the midst of the revolution of 1848/1849 , Stürtz switched from his position as state procurator in Simmern to the Prussian administrative service and temporarily took over the administration of the police department and the district office of the city district associated with this position Aachen. With the temporary transfer of these functions to Franz Carl Hasslacher (July 1, 1850), Stürtz then returned to the judicial service. Most recently, he worked as a judge of appeal at the Rhenish Court of Appeal in Cologne.
