Hermann Hirsch (District Administrator)

Karl Johann Hermann Hirsch (born on July 6th, 1815 in Berlin ; died on January 7th, 1900 in Aachen ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and police director .

Life

As the son of the Jewish businessman Joseph Hirsch and his wife Johanna geb. Wolff attended Hirsch (very likely) the old town high school in Königsberg . After passing his school leaving examination in 1835, he studied law and camera science at the Albertus University in Königsberg . There he became a member of the Scotia Corpsland Team . As an inactive , he moved to the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 1836 . There he became active with Ferdinand von Nordenflycht in the Corps Rhenania Bonn . Finally he went to the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin .

After taking the auscultator test on March 31, 1838, Hirsch was obliged as an auscultator at the Königsberg Higher Regional Court on April 18, 1840 . With seniority from April 14, 1840, Hermann Hirsch was also appointed court trainee on May 31, 1840 . In September 1840 he moved to the Higher Regional Court of Stettin and on August 1, 1842 to the Regional and City Court of Greifswald . After passing the third legal review on October 10, 1843 Hirsch received the appointment as at 11 November 1843 Gerichtsassessor (inauguration January 4, 1844) at the Superior Court in Berlin, but was the service at the local police headquarters on leave. On August 15, 1844, he initially moved to Poznan as a provisional police officer . His definitive appointment followed on May 1, 1846. From there he was transferred to Elberfeld , where he took over the provisional administration of police duties on December 17, 1851 by ministerial rescript. At the same time he also took over the police business in Barmen . Hirsch received the definitive appointment as police director on March 29, 1854. With a patent dated October 18, 1861, Hirsch received the appointment of police chief . On January 1, 1864, he then took the position of police director in Aachen, at the same time District of the city district Aachen was. The tasks of the district administrator of the city district were not transferred to the mayor until April 1, 1888. At the age of 71 and in his 49th year of service, Hermann Hirsch was advised to resign in 1886. Following his application of October 30, 1886 with the Dimissoriale of December 15, 1886, he finally retired on December 31, 1886.

In addition to his official business as police director, Hisch was responsible for the administration of the Elberfeld district office from June 30, 1859 to June 1, 1861 . With the expiry of his representation, the cities of Barmen and Elberfeld left the district association. The remaining part was assigned the name of the city of Mettmann as the seat of the Mettmann district.

House of Representatives

Hirsch sat from 1849 to 1852 in the second legislative period for the constituency of Posen 3 in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the right-wing faction .

Hermann Hirsch was baptized as a Protestant in Leipzig on October 10, 1828. Around 1847 he married Lucie Uhden, who died in Salzbrunn before 1860.
