Josef Guisez

Johann Nepomuk Wilhelm Josef Guisez (born April 12, 1784 in Bonn , † December 5, 1848 in Aachen ) was an administrative officer in three different systems of rule and most recently district administrator of the urban district of Aachen .

Life

childhood and education

Josef Guisez was the son of the ducal Arenberg court counselor in Recklinghausen and later police councilor in Cologne, Johann Franz Joseph Guisez († June 10, 1829 in Cologne) and Maria Gertrud, née. Keiffen († February 13, 1828 in Cologne). After attending high school he studied until 1804 at the University of Goettingen law .

Career

Following his father, he entered the service of the Duke of Arenberg on December 16, 1805 as domain advocate . After the annexation of the duchy by France on December 13, 1810, Guisez settled as a lawyer at the Tribunal of First Instance (civil court) in Mülheim am Rhein (December 17, 1811). Since February 1, 1812, he held a position at the court itself. From there he moved in June 1814 as district police commissioner in the arrondissement of Aachen , where he was later appointed to the police council. With the transition to Prussia, he then switched to the Prussian administrative service, as a police inspector (1830/33) Guisez led the Aachen police business, most recently in the position of a police adviser. After the implementation of the Aachen police director, Georg Wilhelm von Lüdemann, in 1843 (July?) He took over his office, initially on a temporary basis. The final appointment followed with the highest cabinet order of September 18, 1845. Josef Guisez died on duty.
