Paul Johannes von Funck

Paul Johannes "Hans" Freiherr von Funck (born December 16, 1851 in Torgau ; † January 15, 1913 in Obermais near Meran in South Tyrol , Austria-Hungary ) was a Prussian civil servant, police director, district administrator and district president of Köslin (1908–1911) .

Live and act

Funck studied law and was then taken on as a court assessor from 1878 and a year later as a government assessor in Köslin and from 1881 found a job with the police chief in Frankfurt am Main . In 1887, Funck accepted a call as district administrator in what was then the city district of Aachen, where he worked until March 31, 1888, before this position was no longer filled under the new district regulations in the Rhineland from April 1, 1888. In addition, he also held the office of Police Director of Aachen from 1887 and until 1894 and was promoted to Police President in 1890.

From 1894 he took over the office of deputy regional president in Hanover as senior government councilor and held this position until 1906, although in the meantime he was appointed police president in Frankfurt a. M. had been offered. Finally, Funck was appointed district president of Köslin in 1908 and retired in 1911.

family

Funck was married to Marie von Lützow . Her son Hans Freiherr von Funck (1891–1979) was a German officer, most recently a general of the tank troops in World War II.
