Johann Gottlieb August Naumann

Johann Gottlieb August Naumann (born February 19, 1799 in Berlin ; † September 30, 1870 in Bromberg ) was a lawyer and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

Naumann was born as the son of the secret post and court judge Christian Naumann and his wife Henriette Sophie Charlotta Katharina , née Noack . In 1816 he volunteered in the military in Berlin for a year.

From 1823 to 1827 he studied law and camera science in Berlin . He was then an auscultator and in 1829 he became a court trainee. From 1831 to 1833 he worked as a court assessor at the higher court in Berlin. Then Naumann was a government assessor in Posen until 1835 , before he became a government councilor in Liegnitz in 1835 and then in Magdeburg from 1837 . In 1841 he became a senior government councilor in Frankfurt (Oder) , which he remained until 1849. Also in 1841 he became commissioner of the estate armed forces management of Neumark in Landsberg an der Warthe .

In the election for the Frankfurt National Assembly, he was elected by the 27th constituency of Cottbus, which had 81,242 residents. Friedrich Ernst Scheller was actually the winner of the election in Cottbus, but he rejected the election in favor of the election by the constituency of Frankfurt (Oder), which meant that Naumann moved up. Naumann received the votes of 88 out of 134 electors. From May 20, 1848, he was a member of the National Assembly and remained so until May 20, 1849. He was a member of the Café Milani faction and worked from July 1, 1848 in the committee for drafting the law on ministerial responsibility . He was also a member of the committee for the rules of procedure from September 24, 1848 .

In 1849 he became government vice-president and director of the provincial school college in Münster . This remained with Naumann until he was appointed acting administrator of the regional council in Arnsberg in 1850 . In 1853 he took up the post of deputy chief president in Münster and from 1857 he was regional president in Köslin . In 1864 he was briefly President of the District in Bydgoszcz, before retiring in the same year.
