Hans Wilhelm von Kotze

Hans Wilhelm Ernst August von Kotze (born June 27, 1802 in Groß Germersleben ; † March 1, 1885 in Hanover ) was a Prussian civil servant and district president in Köslin (1864–1866) and Erfurt (1867–1874).

Life

origin

Hans Wilhelm came from the Upper Saxon-Magdeburg noble family von Kotze . He was the son of the gentleman Hans Karl Friedrich von Kotze (1759–1829) and his wife Wilhelmine, born von der Schulenburg (1768–1831)

Career

As a secret senior government councilor, Kotze worked in the government administration of Merseburg and moved to the post of government vice-president in Königsberg . In 1864 Kotze became district president in Köslin in the province of Pomerania and served as district president in Erfurt from 1867 to 1874 .

From 1883 Kotze represented the Merseburg cathedral chapter as a member of the Prussian manor house . In the latter he was dean of the cathedral .

family

He married Pauline von Bandemer (1816–1891) on April 4, 1834 . The couple had several children including:

  • Marie Wilhelmine Matilde (* 1837)
  • Wilhelmine Mathilde Helene (* June 8, 1839, † January 5, 1914) ⚭ 1867 Hermann von der Schulenburg (* July 3, 1837, † July 17, 1917), captain, buried in Rothenfelde (Wolfsburg) .
  • Hans Hugo (1843–1921), Prussian lieutenant general ⚭ Anna von Ziethen (1850–1932)
  • Elisabeth (1841–1842)
