Kurt Detloff Graf von Schwerin - [Busow] (* April 7, 1853 in Stevelin , † May 5, 1908 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) was a German administrative lawyer, politician and manor owner in Pomerania .

Life

Kurt Detloff von Schwerin came from the Pomeranian noble family von Schwerin . He was a son of the manor owner Helmuth Graf von Schwerin, Herr auf Ziethen (near Anklam) , and his second wife Antonie, née von Bornstedt, widowed von der Lehe. Schwerin studied at the universities of Heidelberg , Tübingen and Greifswald . In 1872 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Heidelberg . In the same year he joined the Corps Suevia Tübingen . In 1874 he became active in the Corps Pomerania Greifswald . As a doctor of law, he ended his military service with the rank of Rittmeister . After his traineeship in 1881 he became a court and government assessor in Szczecin . In 1882 he was a laborer in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior and in the same year District Administrator of the rural district of Pomerania . In 1895 he became police chief in Hanover . From 1903 to 1906 he was the district president in Köslin .

He was a legal knight of the Order of St. John and a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Pomerania . He inherited the Ziethen manor from his father.

His wife Anna was a born von Puttkamer , her father was Major General Bernhard von Puttkamer , Herr auf Sellin and Groß-Nipkau. The marriage produced four sons and one daughter. The son Gerhard Graf von Schwerin (* 1899, † 1980) became general of the armored forces.
