Albert Leister

Albert Leister (born May 25, 1890 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia , † late 1968 in Bonn ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending elementary school, Leister completed a commercial apprenticeship. He then worked as an employee. From 1910 to 1912 he was a member of the imperial army. From 1914 to 1915 Leister took part in the First World War. On June 3, 1915, he was wounded in the field and lost his right foot. After his discharge from the army, Leister became a commercial clerk at the authorities. In this context he headed the war economy in the district of Nienburg (Weser) from 1917 .

On July 1, 1924, Leister was appointed head of the district communal treasury for the Nienburg-Weser district. Leister's membership in the NSDAP in 1930 led to disciplinary proceedings being initiated against him.

From September 1930 to November 1933, Leister sat as a member of the NSDAP in the German Reichstag , in which he represented constituency 16 (southern Hanover-Braunschweig). From 1933 to 1936, Leister served as district president of Stade .

After the German occupation of Poland, Leister was City Commissioner in Lodsch from September to November 1939 .
