Heinrich Studer (born March 7, 1889 in Olten , † January 21, 1961 in Vienna ) was a Swiss publisher .

Life

Studer was the son of the merchant Konrad Studer and studied at the University of Zurich , the University of Munich , the University of Leipzig and the Humboldt University of Berlin Law , but also art and literature . In 1911 he married Klara Aischmann (1890–1977) in Munich , from whom he divorced in 1917. The daughter Doralies (Dorothea Elisabeth) comes from the marriage.

After the divorce, Studer founded the Amalthea publishing house in Leipzig , whose headquarters he moved to Vienna in 1918 . In the same year he published his own works a. a. Waldmann , a Tragedy, and The Birth of Venus. Seals that found little acceptance. From then on, Studer devoted himself above all to his publishing and editing activities. His divorced wife Klara later had a liaison with Rainer Maria Rilke and also with Ivan Goll , whom she married; she is therefore known in literature as Claire Goll.
