Heinrich Trübenbach (born December 13, 1823 in Mittweida , † February 18, 1896 in Dresden ) was a Protestant pastor and local chronicler in Kayna .

Life

Trübenbach was one of the six children of Heinrich August Trübenbach (born August 1, 1795 in Mittweida, † March 27, 1846 in Püchau near Wurzen ) and Henriette Wilhelmine (born March 28, 1799 in Chemnitz , † May 18, 1871 ibid), daughter of the Chemnitz "City Physician" Dr. Johann Heinrich Friday. Heinrich August studied after attending the Princely School (today St. Augustin High School ) in Grimma at the University of Leipzig , then became a deacon in Mittweida and finally a pastor in Püchau, where he died.

From 1834 Heinrich attended the Nikolaischule Leipzig and from 1837 the Princely School Grimma, in which his father had already been a student. From 1842 to 1847 he studied Protestant theology at the University of Leipzig and then entered the service of his future father-in-law, the lawyer Dr. August Ludwig Mothes. He held the pastor's position in Dittersdorf near Glashütte in the Eastern Ore Mountains from 1851 to 1855. Meanwhile, on May 1, 1852, he married Anna Mothes. The couple had eleven children, four sons and seven daughters, with only the daughters reaching adulthood. Two of the boys, Martin and Oskar, died of diphtheria in 1862 , the other two, Georg and Heinrich, died of scarlet fever in 1867 at a young age. His son-in-law, Max Schmiedel, later reported that as a result of this tragedy, Trübenbach had snow-white hair within a short time.

From April 22, 1855 (second weekend after Easter) to September 29, 1894 (Michaelmas Day) Heinrich Trübenbach was pastor in Kayna, where he also retired. During this time he was offered the position of superintendent twice , which he did not accept out of modesty. However, he held the office for a long time as a substitute. After his death on February 18, 1896, he was buried on February 21, 1896 in the Dresden-Neustädter Friedhof.
