Heinrich Trull

Heinrich Trull (* 1924 in Lerbach ; † 1996 ) is a former German naval officer and educator .

Life

Heinrich Trull was the second child of a long-established Lerbach family. He was allowed to attend high school as a free student . At the end of 1941, before graduating from high school, he began his military training in the Navy. After basic training on Dänholm , he attended the Mürwik naval school in Flensburg - Mürwik and, after further courses, became a lieutenant engineer and officer on the U 4706 on February 7, 1945 . After brief captivity, he returned to Germany at the end of 1945.

After the war he worked as a teacher in the GDR (lecturer for the German language at the ABF and later in adult education) and received his doctorate in 1971 at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . He published some works on German and foreign language teaching.

In 2007 his diaries appeared as a submarine officer.
