Heinrich Wiesner

Heinrich Wiesner (born July 1, 1925 in Zeglingen in the canton of Basel-Landschaft ; † February 27, 2019 in Reinach in the canton of Basel-Landschaft) was a Swiss writer .

Life

Heinrich Wiesner, son of a farmer, trained as a primary school teacher in Schiers . From 1945 to 1947 he worked as a teacher for so-called "difficult to educate children" in Liestal , then until 1981 as a teacher in Augst and Reinach . In 1981 he moved to Reinach and worked as a freelance writer. He had been married since 1962 and had a daughter born in 1967.

His first book was published in 1951, the volume of poetry The Inner Wanderer . Wiesner stood out particularly with his short and “shortest stories”. From 1987 he also wrote stories and novels for schoolchildren. Wiesner was a member of the Olten group ; after its dissolution, he joined the writers' association of authors in Switzerland .
