Heinrich Wolf (entrepreneur)

Heinrich Wolf (born January 20, 1926 - † July 22, 2010 ) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

Wolf came from a long-established Frechen brickworks , which later also included the Rhenania Wolf stoneware factory. Together with his brother, he took over the management of the family business in 1953.

In order to provide affordable accommodation for employees during the construction period after the Second World War , he began building housing, which quickly grew to such a large extent that Wolf'schen Wohnungsbau became his own company. The first of the Wolf'schen settlements in Frechen was built on St. Maria Königin.

His Wolf'sche Wohnungsbau OHG managed the entrepreneur's real estate assets, which include the Weißhaus Castle in Cologne and the Weißhaus cinema at Luxemburger Strasse 253. The nephew Heinrich Wolf jun. (* August 5, 1947) and his son Peter-Josef Wolf meanwhile continue the 7 companies of the Wolf Group.

The commitment to social housing continues to this day and is regionally associated with the name Wolf. The mayor of Frechen, Hans-Willi Meier , said after the death of Heinrich Wolf: "Heinrich Wolf and his family were especially important to the city after the war."
