Heinrich von Buz

Heinrich von Buz (born September 17, 1833 in Eichstätt , † January 8, 1918 in Augsburg ) was a German technician and industrialist .

Life

Carl Buz's son attended the Königliche Kreis-Gewerbeschule Augsburg (Polytechnic School) and then studied from 1851 to 1853 at the Karlsruhe Polytechnic .

He did his engineering internships in Alsace and London, among others .

In 1857 he joined the Augsburg machine factory, which was run by his father and Carl August Reichenbach . In 1864 he became director there. Until 1913, Buz was general director of the Augsburg-Nuremberg machine factory, which had been unified since 1898 .

He was a co-founder of the Augsburg Local Railway , of which he was a member of the board for 29 years, and of Lech-Elektrizitätswerke , as well as a member of numerous supervisory boards, and was also a leader in the Augsburg Industrial Association.

Since 1907, Buz belonged to the Bavarian nobility .

During his management, numerous new technical developments were used, such as the industrial production of the first rotary printing press , the Lindesche refrigeration machine and the diesel engine .
