Guichard studied law at the universities of Berlin ( Corps Marchia ) and Göttingen ( Corps Hannovera ). In 1824 he became an official assessor and in 1829 took over the administration of the Schnackenburg office . In 1834 he was a magistrate in the office Fallingbostel placed where in Fallingbostel he one of the first 1,838 financial institutions of the Kingdom of Hanover founded in rural areas, today's Kreissparkasse Walsrode in Walsrode . This savings bank financed in particular farms in the course of the farmers' liberation . In 1848 he represented constituency 15 (Hanover) in the Frankfurt National Assembly , where he belonged first to the Casino and then to the Landsberg parliamentary group . As a senior bailiff, he made outstanding contributions to the Fallingbostel area; Friends and followers erected a memorial for him three years after his death in Bad Fallingbostel in gratitude for his work, which still reminds him today.

Honor

The statue from 1864 stands in a neo-Gothic housing on the church wall of the St. Dionysius Church in Bad Fallingbostel. It bears the sculptor's mark “CD”, probably made by the sculptor Carl Dopmeyer in Hanover. The beehive with the year 1838 stands for the year he initiated the establishment of the savings bank; the beehive has been a symbol of hard work and thrift since the Middle Ages and was already used as a money box back then.

In the cities of Walsrode and Bad Fallingbostel, a larger inner-city street is named as Quintusstraße .
