Heinrichsdorf is a district of the community Sandbostel in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) in Lower Saxony .

Geographical location
The Heinrichsdorf district is located in the extreme south of the Sandbostel community on the border with Gnarrenburg and its Augustendorf district . Heinrichsdorf is about 5 km north of Glinstedt , about 4 km east of Langenhausen , 2.5 km south of the district of Sandbostel, which gives the municipality its name, and 3.5 km west of the district of Ober Ochtenhausen . From the southwest to the northeast which runs county road 148, also referred to as "Klenk Holzer street".
history
Heinrichsdorf was created through the cultivation of the former “Klenkenholz” moorland in the 1930s, which was carried out by the state moor administration located in Sandbostel at the time.
Culture and sights
POW camp Stalag XB
Between the local areas of Heinrichsdorf and Sandbostel, the POW camp “ Stalag XB ” was located on the site of today's “Immerhain” industrial park, where around 10,000 prisoner-of-war soldiers from Russia , Poland and France were mostly buried in mass graves .
