description

According to a report by Christian Keferstein from 1846, the grave had a mound that had been cleared away for a long time. The burial chamber inside consisted of large stone slabs and was also completely destroyed just a few years before Keferstein's report. The grave belongs to a group of very similar large stone graves between Bernburg and Köthen , all of which were built from large stone slabs instead of boulders . These include, for example, the still-preserved large stone graves of Bierberg near Gerbitz , Heringsberg near Grimschleben and Steinerne Hütte near Latdorf .
