Heinz-Detlef Moosdorf

Heinz-Detlef Moosdorf (born September 27, 1939 in Wurzen ; † October 1, 2014 ) was a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

After graduating from high school in Grimma , Moosdorf studied from September 1958 to July 1963 at the Dresden University of Fine Arts , with Hans Theo Richter , Günter Horlbeck and Gerhard Augst , among others . After graduating, he turned down a master class and instead worked as a freelance artist in Dresden Burgstädel . From 1965 he was a member of the VBK GDR , from 1969 to 1989 he had a work contract with the Gröditz steelworks. He turned down another master class, this time with Lea Grundig . Several study trips followed: in 1969 to Bulgaria and the USSR with artist colleagues, such as B. Werner Tübke , 1976 to Africa together with Elke Hopfe . Moosdorf produced graphics for the Plauener graphic community until 1989 .

Moosdorf's works can be seen in the Art-of-Lindberg Galleries, which are run by his gallery owner Eich von Lindberg in Zöblitz and Wermsdorf. Since 1992 Moosdorf lived with his family in Haida in the Röderland . There is a permanent exhibition with his works in the local community center. In addition, there are ongoing exhibitions in his former summer studio in Diesbar-Seusslitz , which are looked after by his former wife Dagmar Rosrodowski.

Moosdorf died on October 1, 2014 of complications from a stroke.
