Heinz Feierle

Heinz August Feierle (born September 23, 1927 in Dornbirn ; † March 1, 2018 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and master builder. From 1964 to 1984 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

After finishing elementary school in Dornbirn, Feierle attended the Dornbirn secondary school, but was called up for the Reich Labor Service during the Second World War in 1944 before graduating from secondary school . His maturity declaration was based on a decree. After the Reich Labor Service in 1944, Feierle was drafted into the war, and in June 1945 he returned from American captivity.

After the end of the war, Feierle attended a technical course at the University of Innsbruck from 1945 to 1946 and then studied at the Technical University of Graz from 1946 to 1951 , where he graduated in 1951 with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. completed. In 1959 he also passed the master builder examination in Bregenz. From 1951 on, Feierle worked as a civil engineer at the Gebrüder Feierle company in Dornbirn, where he became a partner in 1959 and a managing partner from 1962 to 2009. In 2009, Feierle retired.

Politics and functions

Feierle joined the Austrian People's Party and the Economic Association in 1963 and was sworn in on October 29, 1964 as a member of the Feldkirch constituency or as a member of the ÖVP in the Vorarlberg state parliament. He belonged to the state parliament until November 5, 1979, from 1969 he was a member of the constituency of Dornbirn and from November 6, 1979 to November 19, 1979 he was not a member of the state parliament for a short time, but on November 20, 1979 he was the member of the regional council elected Elmar Rümmele was able to succeed .

Within the party, Feierle was a member of the state party leadership of the ÖVP Vorarlberg from 1964 to 1984. Between 1964 and 1969 he was a member of the state party council of the ÖVP Vorarlberg and was active as a committee member of the Dornbirn Economic Association from 1964 to 1966. From 1966 to 1974 he subsequently acted as chairman of the Dornbirn Economic Association. From 1964 he was also a member of the regional leadership of the Vorarlberg Economic Association, a member of the district party leadership of the ÖVP Feldkirch and a member of the district party leadership of the ÖVP Dornbirn.

Feierle was also president of Export- und Mustermesse Ges.mbH, active in the building trade and the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Dornbirn Holiday Colonies Association.

Feierle was born in Dornbirn as the son of the civil engineer Johann Anton Feierle (1889–1959) from Dornbirn. His mother Maria Anna Sidonia Feierle (1897–1985), née Albrich, was also born in Dornbirn. Heinz Feierle married Hermine Sonnweber (* 1931) in 1968 and had a daughter in 1969.
