Heinz Hilgert

Heinz Hilgert (born December 30, 1953 in Lemgo ) is a German bank manager. Since 2010 he has been the managing director of TransVise GmbH.

Studies and career entry

Hilgert studied economics at the University of Duisburg . He then began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1979 . He then worked in leading positions in investment banking at Trinkaus & Burkhardt in Düsseldorf and Sal. Oppenheim in Cologne.

Career in the cooperative banking association

In 1996 he moved to SGZ-Bank, where he was appointed to the board in 1997. After SGZ-Bank was merged into GZ-Bank in 2000 and further into DZ Bank in 2001, he was a member of the DZ Bank Management Board from 2001 to October 2007, most recently as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. In this role he was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Union Investment , Chairman of the Board of Directors of DZ Bank International in Luxembourg , President of the Board of Directors of DZ Privatbank Schweiz and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of norisbank .

Chairman of the Board of Management of WestLB

On May 1, 2008, Hilgert was appointed to succeed Alexander Stuhlmann as CEO of WestLB in Düsseldorf. On May 18, 2009, he resigned from this office. From June 1, 2008 to May 18, 2009 Hilgert was a member of the Board of Directors of DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale .

Family and private

Hilgert is married for the second time and has three daughters, two of whom are from his first marriage.
