Heinz Hoffmann (politician, 1954)

Heinz Hoffmann (born August 12, 1954 in Heidelberg ) is a German politician (Die Linke). From November 2013 to September 2014 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony .

After training as a medical-technical radiology assistant (MTRA), Hoffmann worked at the Heidelberg Clinic until 1980. He then worked as an X-ray consultant in an industrial company until 1983. This was followed by a degree in economics , business administration , sociology and law, which he completed in 1988 with a degree in economics. Until 1989 followed a postgraduate degree in social economics . Since 1990 he has been working as a union secretary.

Hoffmann has been a member of the Die Linke party since July 2007 , for which he belonged to the Meissen District Assembly from August 2008 . In the state elections in 2009 he ran in the constituency of Meißen 2 , but could not win the direct mandate. Also at number 30 on the state list of Die Linke Sachsen , he just missed entry into the state parliament. Only when André Hahn in the general election in 2013 in the Bundestag moved in, moved Hoffmann for this into the Saxony state parliament after. In the state elections in Saxony in 2014 , he was unable to defend his mandate.

He is non-denominational and married.
