Heinz Joachim Bonk

Heinz Joachim Norbert Bonk (born November 17, 1935 in Beuthen / Upper Silesia , + July 6, 2019 in Berlin) was a German lawyer .

He studied law at the universities of Kiel , Freiburg im Breisgau and Bonn . Bonk was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD,

He initially worked as a judge at the Administrative Court and Higher Administrative Court. He then worked at the Federal Ministry of Justice in Bonn and then until his retirement in 1998 as a judge at the Federal Administrative Court in Berlin . Part-time he was a lecturer at the German Lawyers' Institute for the training of lawyers to become specialists in administrative law . Since 1994 he has been an honorary professor at the University of Potsdam. Since his retirement he worked as a lawyer .

He became known as the co-author of comments on the Administrative Procedure Act (VwVfG), the Basic Law and the State Liability Act (1981) as well as various articles in specialist journals.

He was married and had two grown children.

Heinz Joachim Bonk died in Berlin in July 2019 at the age of 83. His grave is in the state-owned cemetery Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend (grave location: 5-H-30).
