Heinz Kälberer

Heinz Kälberer (born April 5, 1942 in Holzmaden ) is a Baden-Württemberg politician of the Free Voters .

Kälberer was Mayor of Münsingen from 1971 to 1981 and then Lord Mayor of Vaihingen an der Enz until 2006 . In addition, he was a district and regional councilor until 2014.

He is honorary chairman of the Free Voters State Association of Baden-Württemberg , Vice-President of the Volksbund of German War Graves Commission , President of the State Traffic Guard since the end of 2006, member of the Broadcasting Council of SWR and member of the administrative board of the Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg . In 2007, Kälberer was appointed by the then Prime Minister as the Eastern European Commissioner of the State of Baden-Württemberg. He runs the business and service office for Eastern Europe of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation on a voluntary basis .

In 2005, Kälberer was awarded the Medal of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg , and in 2014 he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .
