Heinz Chamber

Heinz Kammer (born March 23, 1916 in Berlin-Charlottenburg , † June 28, 1989 in West Berlin) was a German actor .

Life

The merchant's son Kammer graduated from secondary school and received private acting lessons. In 1938 he began his career in the theater and received his first film role that same year. He was drafted in World War II . After 1945, Kammer could be seen at the Heilbronner Stadttheater and at Berlin venues such as the Cabaret of Comedians and the Theater am Nollendorfplatz . Occasionally he also staged plays.

Until 1957 he became known to the East German audience through DEFA films and subsequently worked in a total of over 30 film and television productions, since his debut in the Heinz Rühmann production Der eiserne Gustav, also in German films.
