Heinz Leonhardsberger

Heinz Leonhardsberger (born March 2, 1946 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer, musician, light painter, flaneur and autodidact for life .

Career

Heinz Leonhardsberger is one of the first Austrian composers to work with computers. He studied ethnology , musicology and non-European music. In 1989, together with the artists Johann Jascha and Turi Werkner, the "Erwin Project" was developed, a revolutionary attempt at the time for an interactive electronic cultural magazine (on VHS ). In the 1960s he played guitar and flute in various jazz formations. He has been working as a film composer since 1971. Since 1979 he has created experimental music, computer music . During this time he also found employment with photography, audiovisual art and computer graphics. Since then, his work has encompassed almost all areas of serious and popular music . Music realizations in Austria, Germany, France, USA. Over 200 advertising music was created in Europe. Long-term collaboration existed with the photographer Karl-Heinz Koller († 1995), music was created for his "SPACE TIME DIAGRAMS". As a pataphysicist , he skilfully implements his soft spot for the surreal and the absurd in terms of sound and appearance. 1997 - 2005 he was a board member of the Austrian Composers Association .
