Johann Jascha (born February 13, 1942 in Mettmach , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian painter , draftsman , medalist and sculptor .

Education and career

Jascha studied painting from 1963 to 1967 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna , where he received his diploma in 1967. 1975 followed the diploma for medalist art, small sculpture and relief art and 1976 the diploma for drawing.

From 1970 to 2007 Jascha participated in 441 exhibitions at home and abroad, 147 of which were solo exhibitions. His work stays have taken him to South Africa , Haiti , Ceylon and Bali , the Caribbean and Thailand .

The artist is a member of the Vienna Secession , the Upper Austrian and Salzburg Art Associations , the Innviertler Künstlergilde and the Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Art, the Gallery Club of Encounters in Linz.

Some of his sculptures, pictures and graphics can be found in public spaces, such as the ceiling of the Linz Taubenmarkt -Arkade. He also received commissions for art in architecture . The artist works and lives in Wilhering .
