Efkan Bekiroğlu (born September 14, 1995 in Dachau ) is a German - Turkish soccer player . The midfielder is under contract with Turkish first division club Alanyaspor for the 2020/21 season . Before that he played 58 games in the German 3rd division for TSV 1860 Munich .

Career

After his beginnings in the youth of TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld , Karlsfelders moved in 2005 to the youth training center of TSV 1860 Munich, where he played in the U11 and U12 for two years. In 2007 he left the NLZ and switched back to ASV Dachau, where he stayed for four years. In 2011 he joined the SC Fürstenfeldbruck for two years . This was followed by his first season in the men's division with the district division club Phönix Munich, after which the midfielder was signed by Bayern division club FC Unterföhring in summer 2014 . Bekiroğlu played 33 of 36 season games and scored 21 goals.

Then the Bundesliga club FC Augsburg noticed him and signed him for his regional league team . With this, the midfielder, who was regularly taken into account, mainly played for relegation and was used in 87 games in three years (30 goals, 15 assists). On two match days of the 2017/18 Bundesliga season he was also twice in the matchday squad under head coach Manuel Baum . In summer 2018 he returned to his youth club 1860 Munich, which had just been promoted to the 3rd division , and signed a two-year contract. In the first season, Bekiroğlu could under coach Daniel Bierofka fight for a place in central midfield alongside changing partners and ended the season with the club ranked 12th in his second year at the Sechzgern he belonged, even after Michael Köllner took over as coach, continued to the regular cast, but had to take a three-month break in autumn 2019 due to a thigh injury. The team finished the season in 8th place, Bekiroğlu was the second best goalscorer with 10 goals. He scored a total of 17 goals in 63 competitive games over the two years with the Munich Lions .

For the 2020/21 season he moved to the Turkish Süperlig for Alanyaspor on a free transfer .
