György Székely (born June 2, 1995 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian football goalkeeper . He is under contract in Germany with TSV 1860 Munich and was used for all of Hungary's junior national teams from the U17 onwards.
Career
society
At the beginning of his career, Székely was trained at various Hungarian and German clubs such as Paksi FC , Honvéd or MTK Budapest , before he was accepted as a B-youth in the youth training center of TSV 1860 Munich . The Hungarian was the regular goalkeeper in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga , but only played in six of 23 games to zero. In the U19, he initially lost out to Michael Netolitzky , then dropped out between August and September 2013 due to a broken hand, but was able to prevail against his new competitor Florian Schwaiger after his return. In a game in the Regional League Bayern Székely was for the first time in the matchday squad of the second men's team. He was integrated into this in the summer of 2014, but was always only a replacement.
After Székely left Munich in October 2014, he was signed to first division club Paksi FC in his home country in the summer of 2015 . As a replacement for regular goalkeeper Péter Molnár , the Hungarian stood in eight league games and three games in the cup in the following two years, but received no new contract in the summer of 2017. After another lack of contract, Székely played three regional league games for TSV Schott Mainz between February and May 2018 , with which he had to relegate to the top division in the end .
Then the goalkeeper returned to his training club in 1860 Munich, where he was again in the squad of the second team, which, however, was now in the fifth-class Bayernliga . After seven missions as a replacement for Tom Kretzschmar, Székely suffered an elbow injury at the end of April 2019 and was the first choice in the box after his return the following season . While the 2019-21 season, which had been extended to spring 2021, was still on hold in summer 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the Hungarian trained with the third division team after the extension of his expiring contract , into which he was promoted for the 2020/21 season.
National team
From the U17 onwards, Székely was used for all the youth teams of the MLS except for the U21s. He took part in a junior European and a world championship.
