Heinz Monz

Heinz Monz (born November 20, 1929 in Trier ; † December 8, 2012 there ) was a German historian, lawyer and chief ministerial director . He was a Karl Marx researcher and the editor and editor of the Trier biographical lexicon .

Life

Monz studied law, history and sociology in Mainz and Saarbrücken and received his doctorate twice: He wrote his legal doctoral thesis in 1960 on the subject of "The municipal reorganization of urban conurbations". In doing so, he provided the basis for Trier's incorporation in 1969 . In 1963, Monz wrote his second doctoral thesis entitled " Karl Marx and Trier - Relationships, Relationships, Influences" in philosophy.

Monz worked in various activities in local government from 1975 to 1988; Among other things, he worked for the Ombudsman of Rhineland-Palatinate.

He was married and had three sons and a daughter.
