Heinz Sames (born July 10, 1911 in Berlin , † 1943 in Volgograd , today Russia ) was a German speed skater .
Career
Heinz Sames won the silver medal in the Grand Four Fighting at the German Championships in 1934 , 1935 and 1936 .
At the Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936 , Sames started in all four speed skating competitions , but could not win a medal. A few weeks later he had his only assignment in an international match in Hamburg .
He won his fourth silver medal at the German Championships in 1937 in the small four-way battle. In total, he set six national records and took part in the speed skating all- around world championships in 1935 and 1936 .
In 1943 he fell on the Eastern Front during World War II .
