The Heise Group (from January 2002 to March 2015 Heise Media Group ) is a group of companies in the field of media and publishing .

history

The company was founded as Verlag Heinz Heise on June 19, 1949. In 1972 Christian Heise , the son of the publisher's founder Heinz Heise , took over the management of the family business. In 1999 his son Ansgar Heise , the managing partner of today's Heise Group, joined the management. The business areas “Telephone Books”, “Magazines / Specialist Books / Loose Leaf Works” and “Address Books” have been independent companies since the beginning of 2002. In 2018 the Heise Group had 1,053 employees and sales amounted to 172 million euros.

Heise Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG is 100% owned by Christian Heise (45%) and Ansgar Heise (55%).
