Helen Bischofberger (born August 2, 1957 as Helen Ritter ) is a former Liechtenstein athlete who specialized in sprinting and middle-distance running.

biography

Helen Bischofberger started in 1975 with her twin sister Maria at the age of 17.5 years at DTV Ruggell with athletics. Just a year later, they both started at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1976 in Munich and at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montréal . In the competitions over 200 m and 400 m she was eliminated in the preliminary run. Eight years later she competed again at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles , this time over 1500 m , but she was also eliminated here in the preliminary run. At the Swiss Championships she finished seven times over the 1500 m behind Cornelia Bürki.

In total, she was able to set four national records:

Even after her career, she was a junior trainer for over 25 years at LTLV and TV Eschen-Mauren , where her sister was also active as a trainer for 15 years.
