Helga Hammer

Helga Hammer (born December 13, 1938 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2001 to 2006 she was Vice President of the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life and work

After attending grammar school , Helga Hammer completed an apprenticeship as a medical-technical assistant and then worked in a special research area at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz until 1977 . After a four-year family break, she worked as a teaching assistant at a vocational school for medical assistant professions from 1981 to 1991 .

Helga Hammer has been widowed since 1992 and has one son.

Political party

She has been a member of the CDU since 1965. Helga Hammer has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU district association in Mainz since 1986 and was also a member of the CDU state executive in Rhineland-Palatinate from 1997 to 2006 .

On May 18, 2001, she was elected Vice-President of the State Parliament.
