Helga Henselder-Barzel
Helga Henselder-Barzel (born January 4, 1940 in Koblenz , † December 15, 1995 at Solms ) was a German political scientist . From 1984 until her death she was President of Welthungerhilfe .
Life
Henselder was the granddaughter of the automobile manufacturer August Horch . On May 24, 1982 she married her party colleague, the CDU politician Rainer Barzel . She was killed in a car accident on December 15, 1995 when she lost control of her car on federal highway 49 and collided with a truck in the opposite lane.
