Helga Mack (politician)

Helga Irmhild Gertrud Mack (born August 1, 1938 in Dresden ; † June 16, 1995 ) was a Hamburg politician for the CDU and a member of the Hamburg parliament .

Life and politics

Mack was a medical laboratory assistant and housewife. She was married and has one child. In her parenting work, she got involved in the field of educational policy at an early age .

Mack joined the CDU in 1974. She was a member of the local and state board of her party as well as of the federal committee for culture and education of her party.

From February 9, 1981, when she replaced Dirk Fischer , until her death, she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. There her focus was on cultural, budgetary and women's policy, which she also represented in the committees for her parliamentary group .
