Helga Schauerte-Maubouet (born March 8, 1957 in Lennestadt ) is a German organist , editor and music author.

biography

Helga Schauerte began her organist career when she was ten. Three years later she took over an organist position in Lennestadt . She studied school music, education and philosophy at the Cologne University of Music . In 1985 she completed her artistic degree with Viktor Lukas . She completed her training with Marie-Claire Alain and graduated with the Premier Prix . She is organist at the Christuskirche , the German church in Paris. Jean Langlais dedicated a composition to her and commissioned her to perform several world premieres.

In 1987 she was awarded the City of Olpe's Culture Prize. She is an employee of the new MGG and co-author of the Handbook of Organ Music . She has published articles in Ars Organi , Organ , L'Orgue , Organists' Review , The American Organist , Music and Worship , Arte organaria e organistica and Ostinato rigore . She teaches at the Paris Conservatoire Nadia et Lili Boulanger .
