Helge Lien (born April 23, 1975 in Hamar ) is a Norwegian jazz pianist , composer and band leader .

Live and act

Lien grew up in Moelv in Ringsaker municipality in the province ( Fylke ) Hedmark in south-east Norway. After attending the municipal secondary school in Stange (Stange videregående skole) from 1991 to 1994 , he then studied with Michail Alperin from 1994 to 1998 at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo , where he graduated with a Candidatus magisterii . Subsequently, Lien played with the formation Tri O'Trang from 1998 and continued his education with a postgraduate degree until 2001, and graduated with the title Candidatus musicae . Later he became famous, especially as part of the Helge Lien Trio , but has also appeared in numerous collaborations and solo albums.
