Helge Thun

Helge Thun (born February 26, 1971 in Kiel ) is a German magician , actor , comedian and television presenter .

Life

Thun grew up in Eutin (Schleswig-Holstein) from the age of five . After an exchange year in the USA, he graduated from the Johann Heinrich Voss Gymnasium in Eutin in 1991 and began studying German and English at the University of Tübingen , which he broke off in 1995 to become an actor at the Landestheater Tübingen (LTT). In 1998 he started his own business as a magician, comedian and presenter.

In 1990 Helge Thun became German champion in the field of card magic . He finished third in the same category in 1991 at the FISM World Championships . He then received an engagement in Magic Castle, Hollywood in 1992 . In 1996 he became German master in table magic. In 1998 he received the Sarmoti Award (donated and presented by Siegfried and Roy ) together with the group Die Fertigen Finger on the occasion of the Desert Magic Seminar in Las Vegas . In Germany he was named " Magician of the Year 1998/1999" by the Magical Circle . In 1999 Thun was a five-time prize winner at the German Championships in Magic ; including twice with the championship titles in the categories comedy and table magic . He was able to repeat this success in 2002 when he became a three-time champion.

Since the summer of 1992 Helge Thun has been a regular at the Tübingen “Theatersport”, an improvisational theater group . It was there that he and Heiner Kondschak premiered the program Beauty and the Beast in 1995 , which was followed two years later by The Beauty and the Beast - Part 2 . In 2002 this piece was prepared as an 8-part series for ARD with the participation of Helge Thun .

From 1995 to 1998 Helge Thun worked as an actor at the children's and youth theater of the Landestheater Tübingen and in this context also carried out the first two 7-part TV seasons SDR Theatersport Cup in 1996 and 1997 . In 1998 his first solo program Der Schlawiner premiered. This was soon followed by the second with Der Scherzkeks . Since 2001, Helge Thun has been moderating the SWR Wunderlandrevue for Südwest Fernsehen and in 2003 received his own 4-part 90-minute program Thunfrisch on the same station , which he moderates together with Heiner Kondschak , Mirjam Barthel and Udo Zepezauer . Thun performed with Zepezauer as Helge and Udo at the 17th and 20th Arosa Humor Festival . In Tübingen he organizes the regular comedy series Comedy-Stube .
