features

Macroscopic features

The light-fluffy vagina has an ocher-brown hat , which is initially hemispherical in shape before it shields. The size of the hat varies from 6 to 12 cm. On the hat skin there are often white remains of velum . The species is grooved on the edge of the hat. The white lamellas are crowded and rounded at the stem . The white stem is usually covered with flaky white remains of velum and is at the bottom in a sheath . The not very high Volva is white when young, later the color turns brown. The white and compact meat has no particular taste or smell.

Microscopic features

The spores are rounded and measure 9.5-10.5 micrometers in diameter.

Species delimitation

This Amanitopsis looks similar to the amanita in the narrower sense. Sometimes a volatile ring is even formed on the stem .

Ecology and diffusion

Amanita beckeri prefers warm deciduous forests on limestone soils. In Germany the species is considered rare. Instead, it occurs frequently in the Mediterranean region.

meaning

Like all other vaginal strips, the mushroom is edible, but not particularly tasty.
