Lanzada is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1300 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sondrio in Lombardy .

geography

The community is located about eleven kilometers north of Sondrio on Piz Bernina and borders directly on the Swiss canton of Graubünden .

Attractions

  • Parish church of San Giovanni Battista, architect Martino Adamo from Carona , with frescoes by Cesare Ligari (1720), two paintings in the sacristy: a crucifixion by Fermo Stella and the Miracolo di San Gregorio Magno (18th century).
  • Baroque ossuary (1666).
  • Vergine Addolorata Church built in 1754 by Giovan Antonio Cometti from Arogno .
