Dubino is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3711 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sondrio in Lombardy .
geography
The municipality is located about 31.5 kilometers west of Sondrio on the Adda (as the southern border) and borders directly on the province of Como . In the northwest, the shoreline of Lake Mezzola forms the border. The neighboring municipalities are Andalo Valtellino , Cino , Delebio , Gera Lario (CO), Mantello , Novate Mezzola , Piantedo , Sorico (CO) and Verceia .

Dubino and its train station are on the Valtellina Railway and on the Colico – Chiavenna line . Strada Statale 36 del Lago di Comoe dello Spuga leads through the municipality from Cinisello Balsamo to the Swiss border.
Trivia
The Dubino station is the template for a corresponding reception building for model railways of nominal size H0 of the Rivarossi brand .
