The municipality is located directly on the border with Castasegna in the canton of Graubünden , Switzerland . Villa di Chiavenna is the last municipality in the Italian part of Bergell . The neighboring municipalities are Bondo GR , Castasegna, Novate Mezzola , Piuro and Soglio GR . The Mera flows in its territory .
