Spriana is a municipality ( comune ) in the Italian province ( Lombardy ) with 81 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in Valtellina and Valmalenco .

geography

The population decline in recent years is not only due to the depopulation of the Alpine areas, but also to a landslide that towers over the village. This is constantly monitored by civil defense.

The municipality is located about 5.5 kilometers north of Sondrio on the Mallero . The neighboring communities are Montagna in Valtellina , Sondrio and Torre di Santa Maria .
