Delebio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3344 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Sondrio in Lombardy .
geography
The municipality is located about 31.5 kilometers west of Sondrio and borders directly on the province of Lecco . The Adda forms the northern boundary of the municipality. The neighboring municipalities are Andalo Valtellino , Colico (LC), Dubino , Pagnona (LC), Piantedo , Premana (LC) and Rogolo .
history
In 1432 there was the battle of Delebio in the fight between the Duke of Milan and the Republic of Venice for supremacy over Brescia and Valcamonica , which the Duke of Milan was finally able to win.

The Delebio train station is on the Valtellina Railway . Strada Statale 38 dello Stelvio leads through the municipality from Piantedo to Bozen .
