Villa di Tirano is a political municipality with 2969 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Italian province of Sondrio in the Lombardy region .
geography
The municipality includes the Motta and Stazzona fractions . The neighboring communities are Aprica , Bianzone , Brusio (CH-GR), Corteno Golgi (BS), Teglio and Tirano .
From the district of Stazzona over the cavern at 394 m. ü. HM the hydroelectric plant Stazzona can the church and former tourist accommodation Santa Perpetua above Tirano , or the Basilica of Madonna di Tirano , be reached.
