geography

The municipality is located about 7.5 kilometers west-southwest of Sondrio in the Valtellina and borders directly on the province of Bergamo . The Adda limits the community in the north. The neighboring municipalities are Berbenno di Valtellina , Caiolo , Foppolo (BG), Fusine and Postalesio .
