San Giacomo Filippo is a village on the Liro in the Valle San Giacomo in the province of Sondrio in Lombardy , Italy . It has 354 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) on 62 km².

San Giacomo Filippo is on the border with the Swiss canton of Graubünden ; the municipality includes the fractions Drogo, Gallivaggio, Sommarovina, Voh, Val d'Avero. The neighboring communities are Campodolcino , Chiavenna , Gordona , Mese , Mesocco (CH-GR), Piuro and Soazza (CH-GR).

The area of ​​the municipality extends in the west up to Pizzo Tambo ( 3279  m slm ) on the main Alpine ridge , which also marks the border with Switzerland here.

  • Sanctuary of the Madonna della Misericordia di Gallivaggio.
